How shipping works
Step-by-step walkthrough from checkout to payment release. No tracking numbers, no manual coordination, no guesswork — everything is automated.
You're a buyer? 🛒
Your journey from clicking "Buy" to adding the card to your collection.
Pay for card + shipping in one go
At checkout you pick a Z-BOX or pickup branch by your ZIP. The shipping cost is dynamic (€2.99–€5.59 typically). You pay both the card and shipping with a single card transaction via Stripe.
Your money sits in escrow
Funds go to a Stripe escrow account — not directly to the seller. They're held safely until you confirm receipt.
Seller drops the package off, Packeta picks it up
You get email notifications when the seller marks the package ready and when Packeta accepts it. The 5-step progress bar in "My Purchases" shows you exactly where the package is.
Packeta texts you when ready for pickup
SMS + email from Packeta arrives when the package lands in your destination Z-BOX. You have up to 7 days to pick it up.
Open the package and inspect the card
This is the CRITICAL step. Open the parcel, check the card (condition, edition, authenticity). Pickup from a Z-BOX does NOT mean the contents are OK — Packeta only confirms physical receipt.
Only then confirm receipt in the app
If the card matches the listing → click "Confirm delivery" in /my/purchases. This releases payment to the seller and is irreversible.
You're a seller? 🃏
Your journey from the "Card sold" email to the payout in your bank account.
Email: "Shipping label is ready"
Once the buyer pays, you receive an automated email with a direct link to the PDF label. The tracking number is already assigned.
Print the PDF label
In /my/sales open the transaction → click "Download shipping label (PDF)". Print on regular A4 paper (A6 format fits 4 labels per page if you batch).
Pack the card properly
Card in toploader → toploader in bubble mailer or padded envelope. Max ~100 g for a TCG single. Add cardboard reinforcement for high-value cards.
Stick the label on top
Position the label so it's clearly readable by the courier scanner. Don't cover the QR code or barcode.
Drop off at the nearest Z-BOX (24/7) or pickup branch
Find the closest location at packeta.com. Z-BOXes work 24/7 — just scan the QR code on your label and put the package in the box. Pickup branches typically have 7-day-a-week hours.
Payout after buyer confirms receipt
Once the buyer picks up the package, opens it, verifies the card matches and confirms in the app → escrow releases. Stripe pays you to your bank account in 1–7 days.
🔐 Safety — the critical moment at pickup
The most important part of the whole process. Read carefully — it protects both you and the seller.
Pickup ≠ confirming the contents
Picking up the package from a Z-BOX is just physical receipt. Packeta confirms that you (or someone with your code) took the package — but Packeta has no idea what's inside. You decide whether to release the money to the seller.
Inspect the card carefully before confirming
Check the card edition, holo pattern, font, back side, corners, and any signs of forgery. If you have doubts, take photos and consult the community or a grader before confirming. Pokémon centering, MTG cardstock, Yu-Gi-Oh print quality — these are common counterfeit tells.
Counterfeit, damaged, or doesn't match the listing?
Do NOT click "Confirm delivery". Instead, open a dispute in the transaction. Attach photos and describe the issue. Our team responds within 48 hours and refunds you if the case is valid. Confirmation is irreversible — use it only when you're sure the card is genuine.
You have 30 days from the seller's shipping confirmation
If you don't confirm AND don't open a dispute within 30 days of the seller marking the package shipped, escrow auto-releases to the seller. We send a reminder email 7 days before the deadline. Never wait passively — if you have any doubt, open a dispute, that pauses the timer.
Package didn't arrive at all?
Open a dispute. Our team works with Packeta to file a loss claim and refunds you the full amount (card price + shipping) from escrow. Packeta's standard insurance covers up to €100; higher-value cards have additional protection via our platform.
❓ Shipping FAQ
How much does shipping cost?
Dynamic at checkout: SK→SK ~€2.99, SK→CZ ~€3.59, SK→PL/HU ~€4.49–4.99, SK→AT ~€5.59. Buyer pays the exact amount alongside the card price.
Can I choose courier other than Packeta?
Not at the moment. Packeta covers 8,000+ pickup points across 5 EU countries with the best price-coverage ratio for TCG-size packages. Multi-courier support is planned for Phase 2.
Where do I track the package?
In /my/purchases on the transaction detail — 5-step progress bar + full event log. Tracking refreshes automatically every hour. You also receive SMS + email from Packeta directly.
What language are the Packeta notifications in?
Your account locale — if your profile language is SK, you get SMS+email from Packeta in Slovak. EN account → English. Invoice from Packeta follows the same locale.
Door delivery instead of Z-BOX?
Not supported in Beta. Z-BOXes and pickup branches are cheaper, faster, and have better delivery success rates than door delivery.
